Chicago C/C++ Users Group
We mentioned this in the fall, but we’re going to be launching and running, additionally, a collaboration with some of the other C++ User Groups. This will be the first of such presentations, and we’d love for you to join us!
The session will focus on two things: 1. Demonstrating how Conda isn’t just for Python\, and you can in fact use it to define and setup a full compiler tool-chain with pre-built libraries! 2. Using this environment\, Rob will walk through one of his favorite topics\, Type Erasure\, answering questions along the way.
These session will deviate from the traditional presentations we do (and will continue to do, dont worry!) by focusing more on a follow-along-as-we-go.
We will also be announcing upcoming social events in Chicago, but also around the continent (maybe even abroad).
All are welcome, so please log in if you can. If you can’t make it live, we will look to post the video of it the same day, so that you can be prepared to discuss in-person at an upcoming social event.

About This Week’s Presenter
Rob Douglas is the organizer of the Chicago C/C++ User Group, a 15+ year member of the C++ Standards Committee, currently over-committing himself as he sits out a garden leave, but always excited to help others move forward in their careers.
Rob has presented before several times, plus moderated panels and sat on panels for the group. He is excited to be working alongside other energetic and accomplished user group organizers with the help of some fantastic volunteers within this organization to get this new adventure off and running.
